Banyan Lodge is not a medical facility. What we offer is residential life — accommodation, meals, company, and the kind of daily structure that gives each day meaning. Our role is to make that life feel easy to inhabit.
Unhurried Pace
Daily life here is not rushed. Meals are taken together. Activities move at a pace residents set for themselves. There is always the option to simply rest.
Personal Attention
Each resident is understood as an individual. Preferences are noted and respected. The care here is responsive rather than procedural.

Stanley's natural environment is part of what Banyan Lodge offers. The nearby trails, the coastal air, the neighbourhood calm — these things are part of the care.
Banyan Residence
A residential home set in a quiet neighbourhood near nature trails. Private rooms have natural ventilation and simple, comfortable furnishings. Three meals daily are prepared with attention to nutrition and flavour. Activities include nature walks, calligraphy practice, and quiet reading hours.
Housekeeping and laundry are handled by staff. Care companions provide support with warmth and discretion — present when needed, unobtrusive when not. Banyan Residence is designed for seniors who value their independence and prefer a home setting to an institutional one.

How the Placement Process Works
Initial Enquiry
A phone or email conversation to share your situation and ask any questions you have.
Lodge Visit
We show you around the lodge and introduce the team at a time that suits you.
Resident Introduction
Staff take time to understand the resident's preferences before settling into a routine.
Ongoing Communication
Families are kept informed and welcomed to visit throughout the resident's time at the lodge.
Brush & Ink Workshop
A twice-weekly programme dedicated to the practice of Chinese brush painting and ink work. Participants explore basic techniques under gentle guidance, working at their own pace. Sessions run from 10 AM to noon, with tea provided throughout.
All materials are provided. The programme focuses on the meditative quality of brush work rather than technical achievement — it is about the experience of the process, not the quality of the result. No prior experience is needed or expected.

Monthly Rate
Ten-Day Retreat Stay
A ten-day stay in a peaceful setting for seniors who benefit from a temporary change of scenery. Full residential services are provided for the entire duration — meals, housekeeping, care companion support, and all lodge activities.
This service suits seniors taking a period of rest, families who need a thoughtful arrangement for a parent during travel or transition, or those who would like to experience the lodge before considering a longer placement. Staff focus on making the stay refreshing and comfortable from the first day.
