Each resident has their own private room with natural ventilation and simple, comfortable furnishings. Rooms are designed to feel personal and calm, not institutional. Personal items and photographs are warmly welcomed.
Are medical or nursing services available at Banyan Lodge?
Banyan Lodge is a residential home and does not provide medical or nursing services. We focus on comfortable daily living, companionship, meals, and activities. Residents requiring medical support are encouraged to arrange this separately through their own physicians or specialists.
Can family members visit, and are there visiting hours?
Family visits are an important part of life at Banyan Lodge. We ask that visits take place during daytime hours to help residents maintain a settled daily rhythm, but we are flexible and happy to discuss arrangements that suit your family.
What does the Brush & Ink Workshop involve, exactly?
The workshop runs twice weekly, from 10 AM to noon. Participants explore Chinese brush painting techniques at their own pace under gentle guidance. There is no expectation of prior skill or artistic experience. Materials and tea are provided. The aim is meditative engagement rather than technical output.
